The buildings are as standard fitted with 73mm of EPS insulation in wall and roof construction with 110mm in the floor, however, you can select a closed cell insulation giving further insulating values that will increase the overall performance of the building. As a standard the insulation provided far exceeds that of the statutory code for demountable and modular building, but care must be taken in the specification as some regulatory bodies or local building codes may require additional insulation. With Blue Planet Buildings these are always achieved through careful selection of materials in construction.

The energy savings therefore are maximised through firstly insulating the modules to protect against outside temperatures and reduce the amount of power needed to cool or heat the building as a whole. In remote or off-grid locations the use of generators consuming fuel and the need to constantly maintain and refuel these cells has been the only solution.
